A catch-all mailbox is one that collects all the email messages sent to invalid email addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone misspells it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Only one single mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and thus you’ll never miss emails because the other side has an obsolete email address or has made a typo. The downside of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving plenty of spam, but this problem can be fixed by using an anti-spam protection solution. It is also important to bear in mind that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot forward incoming emails to a third-party email address.
Catch-all Emails in Hosting
Configuring a catch-all email mailbox will be extremely easy if you’ve got a hosting with our company. You can activate this feature through our powerful, albeit intuitive Email Manager tool, which is an essential part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll administer your hosting account. You will find all the mailboxes that you’ve set up enumerated in alphabetical order and on the right side of each of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly notify you if a particular mailbox gets all the emails for a certain domain or not. With one single click on the icon you can activate or deactivate the feature whenever you like. In case there is enabled email forwarding or if another mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a particular domain, you will get a warning notice from our system. The latter will not disable/replace anything automatically and without your permission.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
The custom-built Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with each semi-dedicated server plan that we offer will allow you to set up a catch-all e-mailbox effortlessly even in case you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to accomplish that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox that you have created using your domains in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will warn you if you’ve already created a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you wish to use has email forwarding activated. If you decide that you don’t want the feature any longer, you can remove it by clicking once again on the same icon. The Email Manager will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
