Introduced in 2001, the .NAME universal TLD is the sole TLD supposed to be for personal websites only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other titles people are known by. Initially, just 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you wanted to purchase john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already purchased third-level domain names remained functional.

Through our company, you can secure your dot NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will be able to modify the WHOIS contact details, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an existing domain to our company if you have its EPP transfer authorization code from the current domain provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been done. There are no particular stipulations on who can register a dot NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the goal behind its creation alive, the Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration could be challenged.
